Garlic Butter Steak & Broccoli Rice Bowls

Seared steak bites finished in garlic butter, spooned over broccoli rice — this is the bowl we reach for when the week has been long and the fridge needs to earn its keep. It comes together in one pan, holds up well through four days of reheats, and hits a protein number that actually keeps you full.

Swap the broccoli rice for regular rice or cauliflower rice depending on what you're working with. The garlic butter is the part worth not skipping — it's what turns a plain seared steak into something you'd order at a restaurant.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cups broccoli, riced (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak pieces dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear the steak in a single layer, 2–3 minutes per side, until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat to medium. Add 2 tbsp butter and the garlic, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Return the steak to the pan, toss to coat in the garlic butter, and cook 1 more minute. Remove from heat.
  5. In a separate pan, sauté the broccoli rice with the remaining 2 tbsp butter for 4–5 minutes until just tender.
  6. Divide the broccoli rice across containers, top with the garlic butter steak, and finish with chopped parsley.
