About Lean Table Recipes
Our story
Lean Table Recipes started out of necessity, not inspiration. Between coursework, deadlines, and a handful of side projects running at once, there was never enough time in a day to think about food — but skipping meals or living on instant noodles wasn't sustainable either. So the question became: what's the fastest path to a meal that's actually good for you, doesn't cost a fortune, and doesn't taste like punishment?
That question turned into a habit of batch-cooking on whatever one free afternoon was available each week — measuring things, timing things, writing down what worked and what didn't. Friends started asking for the recipes. Then it made sense to just put them somewhere everyone could find them.
What We Do
Every recipe here is built around a clear macro target first, flavor second — but never flavor last. If a recipe doesn't hold up by day three or four in the fridge, it doesn't make the site. We'd rather publish fifteen recipes that actually work for a real week than fifty that only look good in a photo.
Our Approach
- High-protein first — recipes are built to hit a meaningful protein number per serving, not just squeeze one in.
- Budget-aware — every recipe accounts for real grocery costs, not just what photographs well.
- Batch-friendly — built to scale for a full week, tested past day one in the fridge.
